Pakistan is collaborating with Afghan authorities on “all issues,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the Foreign Office (FO). These issues include enhancing the security of diplomats, improving border management, and reducing terrorism.
FO Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated, “Afghanistan has given certain assurances and we hope the promises made will be honored.”
Her remarks occur in the context of a recent rash of terrorism-related incidents in the nation, which are believed to have been planned and directed by leaders of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group based in Afghanistan.
The TTP, which has philosophical linkages with the Afghan Taliban, has executed around 115 goes after up until this point this year, the vast majority of which occurred after August this year when the gathering’s tranquility converses with the Pakistan government started to waver. The TTP officially ended the ceasefire last month.
Pakistan has been putting pressure on Kabul governments to take action against the TTP and other Afghan militants.
Zahra stated, in response to a question at today’s year-end media briefing, ” Pakistan has consistently expressed its desire for an Afghanistan that is connected, prosperous, peaceful, and prosperous.
She continued, “We wish that Afghanistan emerges as a conduit for trade and energy connectivity to our region.”

‘India continues to act as a regional bully’
The FO spokesperson maintained during the briefing that bilateral relations with India could not fully normalize until all outstanding disputes were resolved, particularly the central issue of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
She went on to say that “a Hindutva-inspired nationalist government in India continues to act as a regional bully and create obstacles in the development of normal bilateral relations.” She also said that Pakistan is very concerned about the way minorities and the people of the IIOJK are oppressed.
Baloch said that Pakistan will continue to do everything in its power to find a solution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council.
“Islamabad believes that India should end its concealment in IIOJK and halt from supporting fear-monger exercises inside Pakistan,” she said.
“It is up to the Indian authorities to take a responsible position to improve relations because Pakistan is interested in peace and dialogue.”

Relations with US
The FO spokesperson stated that the visits of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had a positive impact on the country’s crucial relations with the United States.
The diplomat stated, “The US agreed to our long-standing request for the provision of military hardware.” Our bilateral relations would be strengthened even more if we separated our relations.
Baloch also talked about the country’s diplomatic successes, like getting off the Financial Action Task Force’s gray list and creating a Fund for Loss and Damage at COP27 for developing countries.
