Zahid Iqbal Hashmi, condemns the Indian forces under the leadership of Lft Governor Manoj Sinha for depriving the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir

Paris, (PR) : President of the International Kashmir Peace Forum France, Zahid Iqbal Hashmi, has condemned the Indian forces under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for depriving the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir of their basic rights. He stated that every Indian institution continues to treat Kashmiris as enemies. In a media statement, he emphasized that until draconian laws like the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) are revoked, serious human rights violations and the ongoing violence against innocent Kashmiris will persist. “This black law gives Indian forces a free hand to carry out mass killings of Kashmiris,” he remarked.Zahid Iqbal Hashmi also strongly condemned the Indian government, police, and intelligence agencies for seizing properties of pro-independence leaders and those supporting Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. He expressed concern over India’s attempts to alter Jammu and Kashmir’s disputed status. He made it clear that the Kashmir issue can only be resolved through meaningful dialogue, adding, “We are not opposed to the negotiation process, but we support only meaningful and result-oriented talks.”He urged international human rights organizations to take immediate notice of the grave human rights situation in the occupied region and pressurize India to stop these violations. He also expressed deep regret over the silence of human rights defenders, activists, media, and others regarding the serious situation in occupied Kashmir.
