WASHINGTON: The White House is anticipated to advertise on Wednesday it intends to issue a rule taking tobacco companies to reduce nicotine situations in cigarettes vended in the United States to minimally or non-addictive situations, according to the Washington Post.
The report, citing a source familiar with the situation, comes as the Biden administration doubles down on fighting cancer-related deaths.
Before this time, the government blazoned plans to reduce the death rate from cancer by at least 50 percent over the coming 25 times.
The US Food and Drug Administration, in response to a request for comment on the Washington Post report, said it couldn’t give any information at this time.
Tobacco contains several dangerous chemicals, numerous of which could beget cancer from smoking. Nicotine is an addicting substance in tobacco.
