US Navy ships conduct drills with Pakistan Navy

KARACHI: United States Navy vessels lately visited Karachi and conducted bila­teral exercises with Pakistan Navy.

On appearance at the Karachi Port, elderly officers of the Pakistan Navy and the Ame­­rican Embassy entered the US Navy vessels Storm (PC-7) and Whirl­wind (PC-11) with traditio­nal warmth and charity.

The US vessels’ visit inclu­ded a bilateral exercise and professional exchanges through meetings and sessions at the harbour. At the ocean, the US and Pakistan Navy vessels shared in a Passage Exercise, which included the participation of face, air, and special services rudiments.

The end of the exercise was to make community, strengthen nonmilitary connections and enhance interoperability between the two processions.

At the capstone of the exercise, common patrolling was also conducted by the vessels of both processions.

The US Navy vessels’ visit to Karachi and the bilateral exercise is evidence of the Pakistan Navy’s resoluteness to work towards indigenous peace.

It’s anticipated that the visit will further promote the being cooperation between the two countries in general and processions in particular.
