US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has bandied with his Chinese counterpart, General Wei Fenghe, on the need to ameliorate extremity communication between the two major powers.
For the alternate time of time, both met face-to-face on Tuesday on the sidelines of an ASEAN defence ministers’ gathering in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The meeting wasn’t anticipated to lead to major improvements but could touch on the significance of extremity communication and their opposing views on Taiwan said a US functionary.
This is their first meeting since the visit of Nancy Pelosi, US House Speaker, to Taiwan in August which maddened China.
