“Oh, we weren’t invited”, I heard today. You ought to have stopped it because you’ve been there for three years. You ought not to have initiated it. Trump claims, “You could have struck a deal”.
According to US President Donald Trump, Ukraine initiated the conflict with Russia in February 2022.
“Oh, we weren’t invited”, I heard today. You ought to have stopped it because you’ve been there for three years. You ought not to have initiated it. On Tuesday, Trump stated, “And it’s a shame to see”.
“The number of people murdered in Ukraine – not just soldiers – will probably surprise people. Many more than you may imagine.
Trump’s comments followed discussions in Riyadh earlier in the day in which a US delegation established a working communication with Russia regarding Ukriane.
Following the discussions, he stated that he is “much more confident” in a peace agreement and that he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin this month.
“No one needs a reminder”
In a social media post, Sean Savett, the former president Joe Biden’s White House National Security Council spokesperson, said that Russia was the cause of the conflict.
“Sounds like Trump bought Putin’s propaganda hook, line, and sinker,” he stated.
“An unnecessary reminder: Putin’s forces have committed war crimes against the Ukrainian people, and his invasion of Ukraine was the catalyst for the conflict. The reason this war is still going on is Russia.
Trump claimed to have the authority to put an end to the war and attacked former US President Joe Biden for his handling of it.
Trump added that elections should be held in Ukraine. “That’s not a Russia thing, that’s something coming from me and coming from many other countries also”, stated the politician.
He went on to criticize Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, claiming that “his approval rating is down at 4 percent”.
