The US, UK, and Poland prepared for Ukraine’s Kursk invasion. — Russian press

According to Daily Izvestia, which cited Russian intelligence, the three spy services took part in the planning of the incursion and the units that carried it out received training in the UK and Germany.

According to the newspaper Izvestia, which cited Russia’s foreign intelligence agency, intelligence from the US, UK, and Poland helped prepare Ukraine’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk area.

Izvestia quoted the Foreign Intelligence Service as saying on Tuesday that “the Ukrainian Armed Forces operation in the Kursk region was prepared with the participation of the US, UK, and Polish intelligence services,”

“The units involved in it underwent combat coordination in training centres in the UK and Germany.”

On August 6, Ukraine started the biggest invasion of Russia since World War Two with a surprise attack on the Russian area. According to Kiev, the goal of the operation is to create a buffer zone and weaken Russia’s military apparatus.

“Verified data”
Izvestia was informed by the Foreign Intelligence Service that it has “reliable information” regarding its claims.

The White House has stated in the past that Kiev did not notify the US in advance of its planned military incursion into Kursk.

Kiev declared on Tuesday that 1,263 square kilometers, or 93 towns, had been taken over by Ukrainian forces in Kursk; however, the claims could not be independently confirmed.

In the meantime, Russia keeps moving forward in eastern Ukraine.

The military of Ukraine reported that throughout Tuesday, Russian strikes on the Toretsk and Pokrovsk fronts in eastern Ukraine had targeted its forces many times.

The military said in a statement that Russian soldiers had attacked Ukrainian positions near Toretsk, including the Niu-York hamlet, although it did not specify how the conflict was resolved.

Russia had earlier declared that Niu-York was under its authority. Russia is focusing its primary attack on the Pokrovsk front, according to the Ukrainian military.

It stated that 13 more battles were still going on and that its fighters had repulsed 49 Russian advances on Tuesday.
