The Global Baku Forum seeks to foster an unrestricted and transparent discourse among its esteemed members and attendees with the goal of understanding the history, evaluating the present, and imagining the future.
Under the subject “Fixing the Fractured World,” the 11th edition of the Global Baku Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC), got underway in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Thursday.
The XI GBF, scheduled for March 14–16, 2024, is expected to draw approximately 400 participants, including Nobel Laureates, current and former presidents of state and government, officials of international organizations, and members of civil society.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the Global Baku Forum during his speech at the opening ceremony, calling it one of the top worldwide conferences and drawing comparisons with esteemed events like the Munich Security Conference and the Davos World Economic Forum.
Broad Involvement
In order to address urgent global issues, the NGIC has brought together more than 4,000 high-level delegates, over 100 leaders of state and government, and Nobel Laureates over its ten-year tenure.
This year’s event will cover a number of topics with a focus on the EU, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Africa, including “The New World Disorder,” “On War and Peace,” “Fixing Global Governance,” “The Value of Regional Political Institutions,” and “Regional Perspectives.”
