MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : Chairman Prime Minister if Pakistan Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan yesterday visited Mirpur-based South Asia’s largest rehabilitation center of shelterless children – the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust Rehabilitation Complex (KORT), during his visit to Mirpur, KORT authorotative sources said.
During the visit, the KORT Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar gave him a detailed briefing about the activities of his institution, housing over 500 orphan and other shelterless children of different ages including the abandoned kids, since the deadly October 8, 2005 deadly earthquake in Azad Jammu Kashmir. Akhter took him to various sections of the KORT complex, Media wing of the KORT told this Correspondent here Monday.
During the visit, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan met the students studying in various educational, sports and other activities of the court and paid rich tribute to the educational and residential quality in great words. He described that Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar was performing his unparalleled duty for the rehabilitationof the sick humanity to produce them as quality future architects of the nation.
He also appreciated the performance of the entire management and staff of the KORT.
Earlier, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan was accorded rousing reception when he reached the KORT complex with flower petals showered on him. He praised and expressed good wishes for the KORT children and took pictures with them, the KORT authorotative sources said.
