Pakistan on Friday categorically rejected deliberate Indian attempts of “pre-poll apparel” and “overt manipulation” in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The statement comes days after the principal electoral officer in the enthralled vale, Hirdesh Kumar, blazoned that non-locals living naturally could register their names in the voting list.
“Jammu and Kashmir is likely to get around 25 lakh fresh choosers, including outlanders, after the special summary modification of electoral rolls,” The Wire quoted Kumar as saying.
The report added that his reflections drew angry responses from mainstream political parties in IIOJK.
In a statement issued moment, Foreign Office(FO) prophet Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said the rearmost advertisement of “permitting indeed temporary residers in the engaged home, including outside pool and security labor force, to register as ‘choosers’ is a clear incarnation of the unfaithful Indian design to impact the outgrowth of ‘so-called’ choices in IIOJK.”
“Pakistan reiterates its complete rejection of India’s entire litany of ways aimed at turning the Muslim maturity in IIOJK into a nonage — including the expression of the so-called ‘delimitation’ commission and its unwarranted report, the allocation of fake Kashmiri diggings to millions of outlanders, and changes in the property laws.”
The prophet said that despite the “reprehensible measures” that followed the cancellation of the region’s special autonomy in 2019, India would not be suitable to break the will of the Kashmiri people or mislead the transnational community.
“The government of India must desist from all conduct in IIOJK that violate transnational law, the United Nations Charter, and the 4th Geneva Convention,” he said.
The FO prophet also prompted India to release all political captures detained on “trumped-up charges”, halt mortal rights violations in the enthralled vale, lift the brutal military siege, and let Kashmiris exercise their right to tone- determination as quested in the applicable UN Security Council judgments.
The FO further called upon the transnational community to take immediate cognizance of blatant Indian attempts at “effecting illegal demographic changes” in IIOJK and to hold India responsible.
