Pakistan Navy conducts live firing of surface-to-air missiles

KARACHI: Pakistan Navy conducted successful live munitions firing during a form on Wednesday.

The units of the Pakistan Navy demonstrated combat readiness and warfighting eventuality through Ground-Based Air Defence (GBAD) live blasting of face-to-air dumdums (SAMs) at Karachi.

The Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Mohammed Amjad Khan Niazi, was the principal guest on the occasion.

He was briefed on Pakistan Navy’s functional capabilities and ongoing developments to compound security through the induction of SAMs.

Admiral Niazi expressed complete satisfaction over the functional readiness of the Pakistan Navy and confided officers and men for their commitment and professionalism.

Latterly, he visited the SEAL Battalion Headquar­ters where Special Services Groups of Navy SSG (N) demonstrated firepower displays with colorful politic drills.

Before, the cortege principal visited the creeks area to review the functional readiness of colors stationed there.

He was briefed there on combat readiness for the defense of creeks areas. While interacting with officers and men, he motivated the colors for the stylish job done to guard the maritime borders of Pakistan.

The nonmilitary chief comforted that Pakistan Navy was completely set and ready to baffle any unrighteous plans against the country.
