Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, has stated that Kashmir Day will be observed with traditional enthusiasm and zeal to demonstrate our complete solidarity with our brethren in occupied Kashmir.
He stated that the day would be celebrated throughout Pakistan and Azad Kashmir with a renewed commitment to providing Kashmiris with unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support in their legitimate struggle for self-determination.
Sardar Tanveer said, “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will address the joint session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to show solidarity with our brothers and sisters in occupied Kashmir.” He also said that solidarity rallies would be held at all district and tehsil headquarters, as well as in cities and towns, and that human chains would be made on all bridges that link Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
“The people of Kashmir will not allow the blood of their great martyrs to go in vain,” the PM stated, reiterating the Kashmiris’ pledge to pursue the ongoing liberation struggle to its logical conclusion.
The Prime Minister said that India’s RSS-influenced regime was determined to change the demographics of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, referring to the nefarious plans the Modi government had for the area.
Kashmir is not a dispute over land. He went on to say that millions of Kashmiris have the right to self-determination and that India has held Kashmiris hostage through force. He claimed that India has militarily encircled Kashmir.
According to Sardar Tanveer, Kashmir’s freedom was also necessary for Pakistan’s survival. The Prime Minister stated that the government of Azad Kashmir would continue to play its role in strengthening the freedom movement and emphasized the need to highlight the Kashmir issue from a historical perspective.
