Srinagar,  (PR) :  Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to take the Kashmir freedom movement to its logical and rightful conclusion. In a press statement issued today, the party spokesperson, Dr. Irfan Khan, stated that no power on earth can suppress this just and historic movement, which has been nourished by the sacred blood of hundreds of thousands of martyrs.

“We are the custodians of their legacy and will continue their mission with full resolve. No amount of Indian repression can deter us from our political struggle,” he said.

Dr. Khan said that India has employed every tactic of oppression and brutality in an attempt to crush the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri people. However, the resilience and spirit of resistance among the people have rendered these oppressive measures ineffective. Over 500,000 Kashmiris have been martyred, and millions have been displaced as a result of Indian state aggression. Thousands remain imprisoned in Indian detention centres under draconian laws, while the region’s most revered pro-freedom leadership is languishing in jails.

*He further stated that the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, a prominent constituent of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, carries forward the mission of the martyrs. “Indian forces have not even spared our women, children, or elderly. Thousands are missing, and many lie buried in unmarked graves. There is hardly a Kashmiri family that has not suffered under Indian occupation,” Dr. Khan added.*

He strongly condemned the use of black laws to target innocent civilians, saying that after the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, the scale of repression has intensified. “People are being deprived of their ancestral properties, homes of pro-freedom supporters are being seized, and innocent civilians are being arrested on baseless suspicions. Under the cover of these black laws, Kashmiris are being turned into victims of systematic oppression,” he said.

Dr. Khan concluded by stating that despite all odds, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement will continue its peaceful and democratic struggle without fear. “We will never betray the blood of our martyrs. Our commitment to a peaceful, just, and lasting resolution of the Kashmir issue remains unwavering,” he affirmed.
