India successfully test-fired a long-range Supersonic Missile Supported Torpedo (SMART) off Balasore seacoast in Odisha on Monday.
This armament system is being developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the Indian Navy.

According to DRDO, “ The system has been designed to enhance anti-submarine warfare capability far beyond the conventional range of the torpedo.”
