India says seven troops killed in accident near the disputed border with China

At least seven Indian dogfaces were killed and 19 others injured in a road accident in the remote Ladakh region, close to the country’s disputed border with China, police said on Friday.

The world’s two most vibrant nations diverted knockouts of thousands of fresh colors into the high-altitude Himalayan region after a deadly hand-to-hand battle in June 2020 left at least 20 Indian and four Chinese dogfaces dead.

“ Seven dogfaces killed, 19 injured in the remote Nubra area, ” an elderly police officer in Ladakh told AFP.

The incident happen early Friday when a vehicle carrying the dogfaces for deployment close to the queried frontier dived off the road and plunged about 15 meters ( 50 bases) into the Shyok River, according to the functionary.

“ Agonized by the machine accident in Ladakh in which we’ve lost our stalwart army help, ” India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi twittered.

“ My studies are with the deprived families. I hope that the injured recover the foremost. All possible backing is being given to the affected. ”

India and China, after fighting a full-scale border war in 1962, have long indicted each other of trying to seize homes along their unofficial peak, which is known as the Line of Factual Control( LAC).

Relations have estranged dramatically since a June 2020 clash along one section between Ladakh and Tibet.

Both sides have since corroborated the region with redundant dogfaces, military tackle and new structures as multiple rounds of military and political addresses have failed to lessen pressures.

Anguished by the bus accident in Ladakh in which we have lost our brave army personnel. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. I hope those injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being given to the affected.
