Türkiye’s exports hit an all-time high of $254.2 billion in 2022, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced, citing preliminary data.
Erdogan stated at a news conference in Istanbul that the figure increased by 12.9% from a year earlier despite global challenges.
“We want to guarantee that Türkiye has its spot among the main 10 trading nations on the planet,” he said.
The president emphasized that Türkiye’s exports reached nearly 19 billion Turkish liras last year.
Erdogan continued, “The number of nations and regions to which we export with our national currency has reached 197.”
