Gang comprising AJK Electricity Deptt. staffer, unknown illegal expertise booked for creating faults to cause deliberate power outage in Mirpur AJK: Official spokesman.

MIRPUR (AJK),  (Parliament Times) :  Local police have booked a gang comprising unknown persons including their alleged ring leader, a serving Lineman of the AJK Electricity Department for deliberately managing the sudden frequent long artificial liadshedding of the electricity in Mirpur AJK and in its outskirts, it is officially said.

A spokesman of the AJK Electricity Department Mirpur city division said in a press note issued here on Monday that during the ongoing scheduled hours of the load shedding of electricity in the city division since the past few days, some unknown people were found engaged through their expertise in cutting off electricity by short-circuiting electricity poles and main conductor (power supply wires).

The unlawful practice of these unknown accused was causing immense harassment for both consumers and the department . At the same time the power outage due to heavt rain and wind storm, the department line staffers used to turn on the entire feeder by tracing the fault for 10 to 20 minutes.

During immediate probe the gang of unknown persons having expertise to create faults deliberately have been caught, the spokesman said.

The spokesman requested the general public especially the consumers to be careful in yheir respective residential sectors in Mirpur city If they find any unknown person making a fault with the poles or power supply wires. The spokesman further warned the people requesting to immediately take a photo of the persons or take a short screen of these unknown people in the CCTV camera of their houses.

“This gang is active in the dark of night and between 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm in the afternoon, involve on making a futile effort to thwart the reputation of the department, since the department is being blamed for the much prolonged frequent power outage because of the unknown gang”, the spokesperson said requesting masses to help the department in nerting the unknown illegal staffers so that they can be brought to justice through legal means, the spokesperson added.
