MIRPUR ( AJK) (Parliament Times) : Former Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States and ex President of Azad Jammu Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan said here on Monday emphasised the need of the vital role of Youth in today’s digital age urging them to actively contribute to the cause of justice and peace for the oppressed and subjugated people of Indian- illegally occupied Jammu Kashmir state and Palestinians in Gaza.
He was speaking as chief guest at state-run Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST,) Mirpur AJ&K on “Justice vs Peace – The Way Forward for the Kashmir & Palestine Issue” at Youth & Leadership Dialogue-2025, at the varsity’s mechanical Hall.
PRO MUST Hafeez Mustafa layer told our Special Jammu and Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here Monday that besides unveiling a detailed analysis of the root causes of the Kashmir conflict, traced its evolution over the past decades & discussed current situation along with the lived experiences of the oppressed people, Masood highlighted the root causes of Palestine issue highlighting their significance on the Global stage.
The ex AJK President also discussed the emerging challenges & potential opportunities to craft a constructive path forward, emphasising the essential steps required to ensure a unified & effective effort toward achieving just & lasting solutions.
Sardar Masood also highlighted the decades-long human rights violations, military occupation & systemic oppression endured by innocent children, women & the elderly who remain subjected to displacement, violence & the denial of basic freedoms, making the need for international awareness and advocacy more urgent than ever.
Masood Khan also commended the initiative of the Paradigm Association, especially Mr. Abdullah Qureshi, President of the Association for preparing young minds to confront emerging challenges & capitalize on the opportunities presented by global transformations.
The ceremony was concluded with question answer session by the participants asked several related questions which he responded articulately further enhancing clarity & understanding around these critical issues.

In his opening remarks Sardar Masood Khan, Former President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir conveyed his thanks to Brigadier Younus Javed for personally supervising & organising the program aimed at equipping today’s Youth with the skills needed to adapt to the complexities of the contemporary world & understand the evolving Global landscape.
