To discuss bilateral relations and global challenges, both leaders will meet with their respective delegations and have one-on-one conversations.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was formally greeted by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Erdogan and Ibrahim will speak one-on-one and in an inter-delegation meeting in Putrajaya on Tuesday to talk about bilateral ties and global challenges, like as the war in Gaza.

They will have a press conference after a ceremony to sign a number of agreements.

Erdogan is scheduled to speak at the Turkiye-Malaysia Business Forum later.

Erdogan left on Sunday for a four-day trip that will include stops in Pakistan, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

On Monday, he gave a speech at Universiti Malaya, where he received an honorary doctorate.

“Despite their geographical distance, Turkiye and Malaysia, which are located in the two different sides of Asia, are, in fact, two friendly, brotherly and partner countries”, he stated.
