An 8-year-old child is the first casualty of Israel’s genocide in Gaza in 2025.

According to accounts, the Israeli forces killed 27-year-old Khuloud Abu Daher and a Palestinian youngster named Adam Farhallah in the early hours of the new year.

As part of Tel Aviv’s larger genocide in the enclave since October 2023, Israeli forces invaded Gaza in the early hours of 2025 and killed two Palestinians, including an 8-year-old kid.

Eight-year-old Adam Farhallah was murdered by Israeli military bombardment on the Abu Dhaher family’s home in Bureij camp early on Wednesday, according to reports. He was the first Palestinian civilian and the first kid Israel killed in Gaza in 2025.

Local activists posted a distressing video of a Palestinian adolescent cradling the child’s severed leg close to Farhallah’s body on X.

“The child was sleeping in hunger and cold… at the start of 2025 and this happens to him,” the teen bemoans in the video.

Khuloud Abu Daher, a 27-year-old Palestinian, was also murdered by Israeli shelling, according to activists and local media.

The genocide in Gaza
Despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, the Israeli army has persisted in its genocidal attack on Gaza, killing over 45,500 Palestinians since October 2023, primarily women and children, and injuring over 110,000 more.

In addition, Israel has displaced the majority of Gaza’s 2.4 million inhabitants and destroyed or damaged 90% of the region’s infrastructure, including homes, schools, and hospitals.

The official death toll, according to analysts, is only a cautious estimate; the true number may exceed 200,000.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant were both wanted by the International Criminal Court in November for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Because of its war on the enclave, Israel is also facing a genocide prosecution at the International Court of Justice.
