MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : World-fame NGO Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) has crossed another major step in developing AJK’s largest and most modern healthcare facility — KORT Healthcare City Mirpur, it was officially stated.
Unveiling the salient features of the mega project, first of its kind in Azad Jammu Kashmir, an official spokesman of thecKORT Muhammad Shakeel Chaudhry, former Station Director AK Radio Mirpur told our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here on Wednesday that Rs 3.36 billion Phase-1 project contract for the multistory hospital and car parking facility has been awarded to Seven Star Constitution Group of Pakistan and AJK.. KORT continues its journey towards delivering world-class healthcare to the people of Azad Kashmir.
In the first phase of the project, the contract for the construction of a multi-storey hospital building and car parking at a cost of Rs 3.63 billion has been issued to the Seven Star Group, a leading construction company of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. The prominent international company in the planning of health facilities has been appointed as the consultant for the project, the spokesman.
According to details, the Chairman KORT Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar and CEO of Seven Star Group Chaudhry Rizwan Anwar signed the contract at a prestigious ceremony held at a local hotel in federalmetropolis.

The ceremony was attended by prominent personalities from Pakistan and abroad, including former British Minister Baroness Saeeda Warsi, former Surgeon General of Pakistan Army General Nigar Johar, former Minister of the AJK Government Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed, General (Retd) Imtiaz Imran Karim, Zafar Bakhtawari and other important personalities.
Addressing the ceremony, the speakers said that this historic step of the court will usher in a new era of providing world-class healthcare facilities to the people of Azad Jammu Kashmir and Pakistan. Founder Chairman KORT Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar said that the KORT will continue its services in the field of public welfare with even more stronger determination centric to the rehabilitation of the sick humanity.
