According to officials, in a West Bank raid, Israel killed two Palestinians

Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces on Thursday in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian officials, in violent clashes that broke out in the Jenin refugee camp during a raid before dawn.

In a statement, the Islamic Jihad group claimed that one of the deceased men was its leader.

The Israeli military did not immediately provide a response regarding the incident.

In the midst of escalating violence in the West Bank, six Palestinians were killed in separate incidents earlier this week.

Following a series of fatal street attacks in Israel earlier this year, Israel has repressed protesters across the West Bank in near-daily raids that frequently result in fatal clashes.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, 210 Palestinians have died this year, including those who were killed in an August conflict in Gaza.

Israeli military figures show that 136 Palestinians have been killed, but these figures do not include Gaza casualties. At the same time, attacks in Israel and the West Bank have resulted in the deaths of 23 civilians and eight security personnel.
