Kotli,(Daily Parliament Times):
Prime Minister Azad Jammu & Kashmir Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore addressed historic public gatherings in Charhoi and Kotli, emphasizing the government’s commitment to public welfare, development, and political stability under the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). The events drew large crowds, reflecting strong public confidence in the current political system, the PPP leadership, and AJK PPP President Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen.
During his speech in Charhoi, PM Rathore highlighted that in just two months, the government has achieved significant milestones that had remained unfulfilled for years. Key initiatives include the transformation of Kashmir Bank into a scheduled bank, the launch of health cards for citizens across AJK, establishment of separate educational boards for all three divisions, and substantial reductions in property tax rates. He assured the public that all demands of the Joint Action Committee had been fully addressed without delays, and that measures for youth development and public service were being actively implemented.
PM Rathore reaffirmed the PPP’s deep ideological and historical ties with Pakistan and Kashmir. He described the current government as a “trial,” with the real consolidation of public governance expected after the 2026 elections, when the PPP aims to form the government again. He praised the role of the Armed Forces of Pakistan in safeguarding national integrity and highlighted the direct accessibility now available to citizens at the Prime Minister House and Secretariat, underscoring the government’s dedication to the common people.
In Kotli, PM Rathore officially inaugurated the Rural Health Center in Chowk Sahban, which will provide essential medical services to thousands of residents in the surrounding villages. He was joined by senior PPP leaders, including President AJK PPP Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, Minister of Higher Education Zafar Iqbal Malik, Finance Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Ikhlaq, and other cabinet members, local officials, and community representatives.
During both public gatherings, PM Rathore announced several new development projects for Charhoi, including the establishment of a university campus, feasibility studies for upgraded health facilities (RHCs and THQs), education packages for schools and colleges, road reconditioning, and enhancement of existing health centers.
He reiterated that the government’s priority remains public welfare, education, healthcare, and the provision of basic amenities with transparency and efficiency.
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf and PPP Secretary General Hamayon Khan also spoke at the gatherings, emphasizing PPP’s historic role in supporting the people of AJK and Pakistan during times of crisis.
Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen praised the loyalty of Charhoi electorate, noting that PPP’s development record far surpasses that of other political parties over decades, citing infrastructure projects, road construction, and institutional strengthening.
Other leaders present included Ministers Chaudhry Qasim Majid, Chaudhry Javed Iqbal Badhanvi, Chaudhry Amir Yaseen, Chaudhry Muhammad Ikhlaq, and Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq Nayyar, along with party officials and senior parliamentarians. They collectively reaffirmed PPP’s commitment to ensuring political stability, development, and public service in the region.
The Prime Minister concluded by stressing that the government’s efforts aim to restore public trust, strengthen democratic institutions, and provide a roadmap for youth empowerment and socio-economic development, ensuring that Azad Jammu & Kashmir progresses on the path of prosperity and stability.
