Israel claims that after intercepting a Houthi missile, it hit “military targets,” seriously damaging the port of Hudaida and the infrastructure of Sanaa.

According to sources, Israel escalated the war with the Houthis by launching airstrikes on Yemeni power plants, a port, and an oil facility.

After intercepting a missile aimed toward Israel, the Israeli military declared that the attacks were directed at “military targets” associated with the Houthis, according to Al Jazeera.

According to a Thursday report by the Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah TV channel, the strikes damaged an oil complex and the port of Hudaida in addition to striking two power facilities in the Yemeni capital Sanaa.

Al Jazeera cited the station as stating, “The enemy launched four aggressive raids targeting the port…and two raids targeting the oil facility.”

The strikes occurred as tensions in the area increased due to the continued involvement of foreign countries in Yemen’s conflict. Following the attacks, no immediate casualties were recorded.

The precise targets of the operation and the possible effects on people in the impacted areas have not yet been disclosed by Israeli authorities.
