In order to demand an end to Israel’s atrocities in besieged Gaza and pressure their respective colleges to sever links with businesses and organizations that support Israel, students and staff members set up tent encampments at numerous campuses.

Numerous US campuses have witnessed thousands of pro-Palestine demonstrators demonstrating in support of Palestine and against Israel’s brutality in besieged Gaza.

In order to demand an end to Israeli war crimes in besieged Gaza and pressure their respective colleges to sever links with defense firms and academic institutions that support Israel, students have gone on to set up encampments at numerous campuses, even though they were threatened with arrest.

Despite the arrests that were made at Columbia, Yale, New York University, and other campuses, the protests began last week and only got larger.

Here are a few striking photos that depict the protest scenes:

Demonstrators assemble at New York’s Columbia University to call for an end to Israel’s war on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Demonstrations are held outside Columbia University.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrators congregate in front of Sproul Hall on the University of California campus.
