‘Kashmiris’ will unbreakable’: Pakistan observes Kashmir Solidarity Day

Pakistan is commemorating Kashmir Solidarity Day today (Sunday) with a renewed commitment to support Kashmiris’ legitimate struggle for their inherent right to self-determination, as outlined in relevant UNSC resolutions.

Pakistani citizens and the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir observe this day annually to show their solidarity with Kashmiris living in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). This is done not only to reaffirm their love and affection for them but also to reaffirm their dedication to freeing the occupied valley from Indian rule.

To rekindle the enthusiasm of Kashmiris who have been fighting for their freedom, people from all walks of life, including politicians, doctors, lawyers, social activists, students, and others, will organize rallies, demonstrations, and human chains all over the country.

In order to draw attention to India’s worst form of subjugation and human rights violations in the IIOJK, all Pakistani missions abroad would also hold seminars and photo exhibitions.

In addition, the national electronic media will air special programs, and the print media will publish special supplements to emphasize the significance of Kashmir Day and the decades-long struggle of Kashmiris against illegal Indian occupation.

This day also aims to bring attention to Jammu and Kashmir’s long-standing international dispute and reassure Kashmiris that they are not alone in their struggle and turmoil because Pakistanis and Kashmiris stand with them wholeheartedly.

Kashmir’s strife for freedom

It has been a battle of hope against overwhelming odds, courage against fear, and sacrifice against tyranny for more than seven decades; However, despite everything, the Kashmiri people have persevered and remained steadfast in the face of the ongoing Indian campaign of brutality, which has employed every cruel strategy and harsh law to maintain the illegal occupation in IIOJK.

Since October 27, 1947, India has illegally and forcefully occupied a significant portion of the internationally recognized Himalayan Jammu and Kashmir state with the might of its occupational military power, despite the aspirations of the state’s citizens.

India is targeting Kashmiris through state terrorism, which includes extrajudicial killings, arbitrary detentions, staged cordon-and-search operations, and fictitious encounters.

IIOJK has been turned into an open prison by over 900,000 Indian occupation troops, but the RSS-BJP government’s desperate attempt to control the indigenous Kashmiri movement has failed completely.

The conflict between Jammu and Kashmir is one of the oldest items on the UN Security Council’s agenda.

India’s recalcitrant disregard for fundamental human rights and international law has resulted in the dispute not being resolved.

The UN Charter, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions stipulate that the state of Jammu and Kashmir’s final disposition will be determined in accordance with the people’s democratic will expressed through a free and impartial plebiscite conducted under the auspices of the United Nations. India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, are also in blatant violation of international law.

President Alvi urges world to hold India accountable

President Dr. Arif Alvi spoke at the event and urged the international community and organizations to take concrete steps to hold India accountable for its widespread and appalling violations of human rights in IIOJK.

He emphasized, “We observe this day to draw the attention of the international community to the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions” that “provide that the final disposition of the Jammu and Kashmir Dispute would be made in accordance with the will of the people, expressed through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite conducted under the auspices of the United Nations.” “We observe this day to draw the attention of the international community to the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions.”

The president urged India to grant UN and OIC observers, international media, and human rights organizations unrestricted access to IIOJK in order to learn firsthand about the situation there and investigate and report human rights violations.

According to a press release, the president was quoted as saying, “Today, we observe Kashmir Solidarity Day to express Pakistan’s unflinching support for the legitimate and just struggle of the Kashmiri people for the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination.”

No amount of terrorism can break Kashmiris’ will: PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated in his message for Kashmir Solidarity Day that India is mistaken if it believes it can crush the Kashmiri people’s ferocious will.

“The Kashmiris’ will cannot be broken or their legitimate struggle undermined by any state terrorism unleashed by Indian Occupation Forces.”

India should keep its promises to Pakistan, the United Nations, and most importantly, the Kashmiri people, the prime minister said.

“I want to reassure our Kashmiri brothers and sisters that we stand side by side with them on behalf of the entire Pakistani nation.” We will continue to support their legitimate cause in moral, diplomatic, and political ways until they are freed from Indian oppression.

People of IIOJK are waging a relentless struggle of epic proportions to realise their dream of freedom from the Indian yoke. Through their sacrifices, they have kept the torch of freedom burning. It is my faith that their dreams will soon see the light of day.

He added that Pakistan would continue to speak out against India’s barbaric actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on all international platforms.

He added, “We renew the commitment of our unflinching support to them in their just struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination on this Kashmir Solidarity Day.”

Armed forces of Pakistan pay tribute to Kashmiris

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, chairman of Pakistan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), tri-services chiefs, and members of the armed forces also paid tribute to the bravery and struggle of Kashmiris for freedom.

CJCSC, Services Chiefs & AFs of Pakistan pay tribute to the indigenous freedom struggle of brave Kashmiris for their right to self-determination as per UN resolutions & aspirations of people of Kashmir. No amount of HRV / atrocities can suppress the spirit of Kashmiris 4 freedom

“The indigenous freedom struggle of brave Kashmiris for their right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of people of Kashmir is honored by the CJCSC, Services Chiefs, and AFs (armed forces) of Pakistan.” The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated, “The spirit of Kashmiris for freedom cannot be suppressed by any human rights violations or atrocities.”
