PM Shehbaz arrives in Kazakhstan to attend CICA summit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Kazakhstan on Wednesday to attend the two- day 6th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence structure Measures in Asia(CICA) in the capital Astana.

He’s accompanied by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik, and other government representatives.

“Leaving for Kazakhstan moment to attend the 6th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence structure Measures in Asia(CICA). I believe CICA is able of shaping a new configuration of profitable cooperation and security in Asia through lesser connectivity, ” the premier twittered previous to his departure.

In a posterior tweet, he added “As the world faces the prospect of a recession fuelled by an increase in the energy and food prices, there’s a lesser need to promote engagement and understanding to form palm-palm hookups. Climate-convinced disasters call for synergized sweat for mutually salutary issues.”

The CICA is an intergovernmental process comprising 27 countries from each across Asia. Established in 1992, it focuses on promoting peace, security, and socio-profitable development in the Asian mainland, and Pakistan is one of its founding members.

PM Shehbaz would address the grand meeting of the forum on Thursday(hereafter) during the two-day peak starting moment, a statement issued by the Foreign Office said on Tuesday.

In his speech, the premier would unfold upon the significance of CICA as a unique forum for promoting commerce, understanding, and collaboration amongst countries across Asia to address common challenges, the statement said.

It added that PM Shehbaz would also punctuate Pakistan’s perspective on indigenous and global issues.

“On the sidelines of the peak, the high minister will hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of colorful CICA member states aimed at fostering lesser cooperation, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, and energy,” the statement read.

The CICA offers an inestimable platform for advancing the objects of indigenous stability and substance through dialogue and win-win cooperation.

“It promotes confidence structure measures under five broad disciplines profitable dimension, environmental dimension, mortal dimension, new challenges and pitfalls, and military-political dimension,” the FO statement explained.

It added that the high minister’s participation in the CICA peak “attests to the significance attached by Pakistan to promoting connectivity and profitable cooperation in Asia, in keeping with the objects elevated in the CICA Charter ”.
