Iran threatens to strike Israel over ‘slightest move’

TEHRAN: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Monday hovered to strike” at the heart” of Israel if Tel Aviv makes the” fewest move” against Tehran.

Speaking at a military cortege marking the National Army Day, Raisi said if Iran’s security hovers by arch-foe Israel, its fortified forces would avenge explosively.

“Our communication to Israel is that if you seek normalization of ties with countries in the region, you must know that indeed your fewest movements aren’t hidden from our intelligence, security and service,” Raisi said at the rally attended by top military officers.

“And you must know that if you make the fewest move against Iran, the destination of Iran’s fortified forces would be the heart of Israel,” he added.

During the form, the Iranian service displayed a range of homegrown munitions, drones and defence systems at the cortege on the outskirts of Tehran.

Kaman-22, a long-range strategic drone belonging to Iran’s Air Force, which is able of carrying different kinds of weights with a flight duration of 24 hours, was displayed for the first time.

According to military officers, it has a functional range of further than 3000 km and is able of flying up to 8000 measures in the air.

A series of fighter spurts belonging to the Iranian army also performed upstanding manoeuvres on the occasion.

Raisi said Iran’s service has developed a tone- of reliance under the pressure of US warrants, saying it was in the” stylish condition” moment.

This time’s National Army Day cortege came weeks after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for an attack on what it claimed was an Israeli”strategic centre” in Erbil in northern Iraq’s Kurdish region.

The attack, which involved a dozen ballistic dumdums, came in response to the payoff of two IRGC members in an Israeli airstrike on the outskirts of the Syrian capital, Damascus.

Last week, Raisi told visiting Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein that Iran was” nearly watching” the conduct of Israel and won’t allow them to” jeopardize the security of the region through any country”.

Israel was criticized for a series of sabotage attacks at Iran’s crucial nuclear installations and the payoff of a number of leading Iranian nuclear scientists.
