India rejects Chinese FM’s remarks on occupied Kashmir at OIC moot

India has rejected Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s reflections on enthralled Kashmir during the recent Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit in Islamabad, nominating it an”uncalled (for) reference”.

According to a report by NDTV, prophet for India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Arindam Bagchi, while talking to journalists on Wednesday, called the Kashmir issue an” internal matter”, saying that other countries, including China, had”no locus standi “to note on it.

The two-day meeting of OIC’s Council of Foreign Ministers ended on Wednesday with protestation of support for Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir controversies.

Forty-six countries shared in the questionable at the clerical position, while the other countries were represented by elderly officers. Nearly 800 delegates attended the meeting hosted by Islamabad. The Chinese foreign minister was the special guest at the conference. It was the first time in OIC’s history that a Chinese foreign minister attended its foreign ministers’ meeting, indicating Beijing’s expanding part in the Muslim world.

According to the NDTV report, Wang had made a reference to enthralled Kashmir in his opening speech at the OIC questionable, saying”On Kashmir, we’ve heard again moment the calls of numerous of our Islamic musketeers. And China shares the same stopgap.”

Replying to the statement on Wednesday, Bagchi said” Matters related to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are entirely the internal affairs of India. Other countries including China have no locus standi to note. They should note that India choruses from the public judgment of their internal issues.”

This disproof from the Indian side came at a time when the Chinese foreign minister is anticipated to make a surprise stop for addresses in New Delhi on Friday, an Indian functionary told Reuters, though neither side has formally blazoned what would be the loftiest- position visit since border clashes estranged relations two times agone.

Yi is set to also visit Nepal on Friday, as part of a stint in South Asia.
