Israel’s service said beforehand on Sunday it launched strikes against” militant targets” in the Gaza Strip, a day after rockets were fired from the Hamas- ruled home.
A videotape mugged in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, showed three huge explosions and fighter spurts could be heard flying above. There was no immediate evidence of possible casualties.
The Israeli service said the attacks targeted a rocket manufacturing installation and a military post for Hamas. It also criticized Hamas for any violence expiring from the home it controls.
The airstrikes come as retribution for two rockets fired from Gaza on Saturday which landed in the Mediterranean Sea off central Israel.

It wasn’t clear whether the rockets were meant to hit Israel, but Gaza- grounded militant groups frequently test- fire dumdums toward the ocean. There were no reports of casualties from Saturday’s rocket launches.
Piecemeal from a single incident in September, there has been a cross-border rocket fire since a check-fire ended an 11- day war between Israel and Hamas in May.
The check-fire, brokered by Egypt and other intercessors, has been fragile. Hamas says Israel didn’t take a serious way to ease the leaguer it assessed on Gaza with Egypt’s help when the Islamic movement seized control of the littoral enclave in 2007.
Concern over’ critical’ internee
Pressure is also high as other groups like the lower but further strict Islamic Jihad hangs military escalation if Israel does not end the executive detention of a Palestinian internee who has been on a hunger strike for over 140 days.
The internee, Hisham Abu Hawash, a 40- time-old member of the Islamic Jihad militant movement, began refusing food in August to protest Israel holding him without charges or trial.
The wedded father of five from Dura in the south of the Israeli-engaged West Bank was being held under executive detention, a practice of arresting suspects for renewable six-month terms without allowing them to view the charges or substantiation against them.
“ His condition is delicate and complex,” Liad Aviel, spokesperson of the Shamir Medical Centre in central Israel where Abu Hawash is being held, told AFP.
The International Committee of the Red Cross said medical brigades that visited Abu Hawash had planted him “ in critical condition taking expert clinical monitoring”.
On Wednesday, Palestinian fighters in Gaza shot and smoothly wounded an Israeli servicewoman near the security hedge and Israel responded with tank fire targeting multiple Hamas spots in the first exchange of fire in months.
