The Indian Air Force (IAF) stated two low-intensity explosions were recorded in the technical sector of the Jammu Air Force Station early Sunday morning, but no equipment was damaged.
“One caused minor damage to the roof of a building while the other exploded in an open area. The investigation is in progress along with civil agencies,” it said in a tweet.

The first explosion took place at 1:37 am (IST) while the second occurred at 1:42 am (IST), according to a report by The Indian Express. The report stated that two people sustained minor injuries.
A bomb disposal team and a team of forensic experts were dispatched to the area soon after the explosions, police officials said. An alert was also sounded across the Jammu division, the report said.
A first information report (FIR) has been registered under sections 16 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act — related to terrorist acts and conspiracy — and also under provisions of The Explosives Act, Indian publication Scroll reported.
Meanwhile, according to The Indian Express, two people have been arrested in connection with the explosives. Police detained one suspect near a shopping center in the Trikuta Nagar Police Station’s jurisdiction, and an improvised explosive device (IED) was found on him.
The IED weighted roughly five kilograms, according to Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police.
Following the blasts, Air Force stations in Ambala, Pathankot, and Awantipora have been placed on high alert, according to India Today.
Following the two blasts, police initiated an inquiry into the potential deployment of drones by extremists, according to two top security officials.
They went on to say that the blasts have raised security concerns since they could be the first time drones have been utilised in an assault in India.
Meanwhile, a senior government official in New Delhi stated that Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be reviewing the security situation, and that the recent blasts would be investigated.
Separately, a senior security officer told Reuters that the use of drones in the attack would be a big issue for security forces in the area if confirmed.
