The German and French NGO ships: Sea-Watch 3 and Ocean Viking ships have pulled 396 migrants from a dangerously overcrowded wooden boat overnight on Sunday in an operation lasting about six hours, Reuters news agency reported.

The humanitarian ships Sea-Watch 3 and Ocean Viking rescued the migrants in Tunisian waters 68km (42 miles) from the North African coast, near oil facilities and other ships. Sea-Watch 3, which assumed command of the operation, took 141 of the survivors while Ocean Viking took the rest. The yacht Nadir, from the German NGO ResQ Ship, later gave support.

It is unknown in case there were any dead or wounded among the travelers who were in the wooden boat. The boat was taking in water and its motor was not working, a Reuters witness said.

These immigrant boat takeoffs from Libya and Tunisia to Italy and different pieces of Europe have expanded lately as climate conditions have improved.

As indicated by the United Nations-partnered International Organization for Migration, more than 1,100 individuals escaping struggle and destitution in Africa and the Middle East have died this year in the Mediterranean.

The intersection to arrive at European Union nations by means of the Central Mediterranean is hazardous and the overcrowded vessels frequently get into trouble.

Many of the transients in this most recent salvage were seen jumping off the boat and attempting to swim to Sea-Watch 3, the Reuters witness said.

The travelers were fundamentally men from Morocco, Bangladesh, Egypt and Syria. These NGO ships had effectively protected individuals from drowning recently. After prior salvage tasks over the course of the end of the week, the Ocean Viking alone had around 555 individuals on board by Sunday evening.

Ocean Watch 3 was likewise conveying many individuals. Six were taken to land by the Italian coastguard because of their conditions.

On Sunday, the vessel got another 26 individuals, welcoming the complete number of individuals on board to around 250.

The private rescue organizations criticize the fact that the migrants are repeatedly intercepted by the coastguards of the countries and taken back to Libya, for example, where they are threatened with violence.
