In 2023, a staggering 4,213 cases of child abuse were reported across Pakistan, including Islamabad, AJK, and GB. This alarming total encompasses child sexual abuse, abductions, missing children, and child marriages.

A gender analysis revealed that 53% of victims were girls, while 47% were boys, with the most vulnerable age group being 6-15 years. Disturbingly, even children aged 0-5 years were victims of sexual abuse. The data shows that acquaintances remain the primary perpetrators, alongside relatives, family members, and others.
