Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum Says There Is An Urgent Need To Convey The Historical Role And Great Services Of Ghazi Millat To The New Generation.

Rawalakot, (Parliament Times) : Kashmiri intellectual and former human rights advisor Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum has said that there is an urgent need to convey the historical role and great services of Ghazi Millat to the new generation. Due to their timely decisions and immense sacrifices, this region achieved freedom and thanks to the candle lit by them, there is a spark of freedom in every Kashmiri. He is undoubtedly the founder and Qahid-e-Azam of Azad Kashmir. There is a need to promote the services and teachings of such heroes.
In a statement on the occasion of the 22nd death anniversary of the founding president Ghazi Millat Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, he said that his role in awakening the Kashmiri people for jihad against Dogra imperialism is a golden chapter in the history of Kashmir, for which he endured great hardships and finally brought freedom to the region of Azad Kashmir through an eighteen-month jihad in which people of every tribe and every region fully supported him and sacrificed their lives.
He said that on July 19, 1947, before the formation of Pakistan, the Resolution of Accession to Pakistan was passed in the Srinagar house of Ghazi Millat, which determined the future direction of the Kashmiris, without which Pakistan is incomplete.
He said that the establishment of the War Council was implemented with the excellent strategy and high-level planning of Sardar Ibrahim Khan. Due to the sacrifices of many experienced military commanders and Mujahideen, Maharaja Hari Singh was defeated in the political and military arena and this region was liberated. Ghazi Millat represented the Kashmiri people in the United Nations against Sheikh Abdullah and presented the Kashmir issue in a lively and effective manner many times.
Sardar Tahir Tabassum said that we can never forget the role of our great heroes, due to whose sacrifices the Kashmir issue got global status, is present in the agenda of the Security Council and soon the Kashmiri people will also get the right to self-determination. Sardar Ibrahim Khan is a history-making figure for us, without whom the history of Kashmir cannot be complete. Sardar Ibrahim Khan’s sacrifices for the establishment of democratic institutions in Azad Kashmir, the struggle for human rights, political consciousness, and social awareness can never be forgotten.
