Islamabad, Kabul agree to ease border crossing

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Afghanistan have decided to establish a public-position collaboration medium for enhancing facilitation at border crossing points.

The two sides have also pledged to initiate a trade for which modalities will be worked out soon.

The sanctioned adverts were made on Sunday when National Security Adviser Dr. Moeed Yusuf concluded his two-day visit to Kabul where he met elderly Taliban officers.

During his trip, Islamabad and Kabul also refreshed the commitments to cement their political, social, and profitable ties and pledged to ensure peace and stability in the two neighboring countries.

According to the Prime Minister Office (PMO), the main ideal of the visit of the security council was to bandy with the Afghan leadership the philanthropic conditions and Pakistan’s proffers for strengthening profitable engagement to help Afghanistan attack fiscal challenges.

For the trade action, the two sides pledged to work out modalities incontinently, and sanctioned press release said.

It said during the visit, the NSA who also heads AfghanistanInter-Ministerial Coordination Cell (AICC), called on Afghanistan’s amusement deputy high minister Mullah Abdus Salam Hanafi and acting foreign minister Mullah Amir Khan Muttaqi to bandy the current situation in Afghanistan and strengthen relations between the two countries.

“ The visit yielded substantial issues in terms of forwarding movement on trade facilitation and social sector support,” it said.

. “ Both sides also reiterated their commitment to early completion of three major connectivity systems CASA-1000, TAPI, and Trans-Afghan Rail design,” the press release said.

Special Envoy for Afghanistan Ambassador Mohammad Sadiq and elderly officers from applicable ministries were part of the NSA- led the delegation.

Dr. Yusuf thanked the interim Afghan government for their warm hospitality. He also held delegation-position meetings with applicable Afghan ministers and elderly officers dealing with philanthropic and profitable issues.

During the inter-ministerial position visit, Pakistan also offered Afghanistan capacity structure and training support in multiple sectors including health, education, banking, customs, railroads, and aeronautics among others.

The two neighboring countries emphasized their commitment to icing peace and stability in both countries.

Before on Saturday, Pakistan’s minister to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmed Khan twittered that the NSA’s meetings in Kabul were meant to “ strengthen philanthropic and profitable engagement”. He nominated Dr. Yusuf’s meeting with the acting foreign minister “ formative” and said the two sides “ bandied strengthening of Pakistan-Afghanistan fraternal relations to promote trade, conveyance, connectivity”.
