Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Former prime minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan held a detailed meeting with Chairman Raja Zafarul Haq. They discussed in detail issues including occupied Kashmir, party affairs, upcoming elections and other issues.
According to a statement issued after the meeting, both leaders expressed serious concern about the health of Hurriyat leaders imprisoned in occupied Kashmir and expressed their fear that there was a risk that India wants to divert the captive leaders from their path through slow poison.
Raja Zafarul Haq and Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan also expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health of Syed Shabbir Ahmed Shah and demanded that he be provided with medical facilities. International human rights organizations should take notice of the cases of Kashmiri leaders imprisoned for decades in political cases, especially the threats to their health and lives.
They added that pressure should be put on India to provide them with medical facilities. Raja Zafarul Haq, while talking about the situation in Azad Kashmir, said that the PML-N will form the government in Azad Kashmir based on its performance from 2016 to 2021. The PML-N is currently the largest and most organized party in Azad Kashmir. It was defeated in the 2021 elections due to rigging.
The Muslim League will form the government by securing a huge majority in the upcoming elections in Azad Kashmir. Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan thanked Raja Zafarul Haq on this occasion and said that the people of the state appreciate his unwavering commitment to Kashmir. Raja Zafarul Haq always supported the oppressed Kashmiris and presented their case in the best possible way on an effective platform.
