Hajira, (Parliament Times) : The brother of former Speaker Assembly Sardar Ghulam Sadiq (late), uncle of former candidate Assembly Sardar Saud Sadiq Advocate, a staunch worker of the People’s Party, and retired Director General Pakistan Agriculture Sardar Ghulam Mustafa Khan passed away at PIMS Hospital after a brief illness.
His funeral prayer was offered yesterday at the College Ground, Hijara. The funeral prayer was led by the Vice Chancellor of Mohiuddin Islamic University, Nerian Sharif, Pir Sultan Arifin. The funeral prayer was attended by political and social leaders, lawyers, journalists, scholars, teachers, businessmen and people from all schools of thought.
The late Sardar Ghulam Mustafa was a member of the Pakistan People’s Party and a close confidant of martyred Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Ms, Benazir Bhutto.
Before the funeral prayer, former Prime Minister and President Haji Sardar Yaqub Khan, former government advisor Abid Hussain Abid, former advisor Abdul Manan Gohar, former Justice Sardar Hameed, former assembly candidate Sardar Akhtar Khan, .former Assembly candidates Sardar Kamal Khan Advocate, Sardar Babrak Sharif, Sardar Azeem, Qari Naseer, Naseem Anjum Advocate, Javed Chaudhry Advocate, Saqib Shaheen, Maulana Ghulam Mustafa Shakir, Sardar Azad Advocate and others appreciated the political and social services of Sardar Ghulam Mustafa Khan and said that the late was a valuable asset of the PPP and a dedicated political worker.
They added that he always dedicated his life to keeping the flag of Bhuttoism and the Pakistan Peoples Party high. After the death of Speaker Assembly Sardar Ghulam Sadiq, he kept the PPP active in Constituency 2 and always worked day and night to strengthen the party and did not let the PPP leaders miss the late Sardar Ghulam Sadiq.
At every forum, workers and PPP candidates were encouraging Sardar Saud Sadiq Khan. The death of Sardar Ghulam Mustafa Khan created a huge vacuum in the politics of the constituency.
