AJK Finance Minister moves demands on various matters in AJK LA Budget Session for 2025-26 fiscal year

MIRPUR (AJK),  (Parliament Times) :  Azad Jammu Kashmir Finance Minister Abdul Majid Khan presented 54 demands for the current expenditure of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir State under the Revised Budget and Revised Development Budget 2024-25, it was officially said.

The Budget session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held in the state metropolis on Wednesday with Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar in the chair. The Finance Minister also tabled 55 demands for the Current Estimates and Development Estimates Budget 2025-26, and 06 demands for the Non-Development Excessive Budget for fiscal year 2023-24, which were approved by the house, the state government Finance division sources later told this Correspondent Wednesday evening.

The AJK Finance Minister Abdul Majid Khan also presented the draft law – The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Finance Act, 2025 in the House, which was later submitted to the elected members of the House.

Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar later adjourned the session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly till 11.OO am on June 23, 2025, the authorotative official sources said.
